It would be pretty damn embarrassing if she was in the wrong place right now.

She had checked and double checked to be sure this was the right place, but it felt all wrong. Not wrong like she was about to stumble upon some murdered co-eds bitter ghost, but wrong like she was on some movie set. Fake.

Was this really the life Sam had ditched them for?

Sam slid into the passenger's seat and slumped against the window, before glancing back to her. "Where are we going?"

"Jericho."

Starting up the car, De peeled away from the curb and towards the highway. Away from his apartment and all the weight of that.

Sam sighs and reaches for the map on instinct, looking over the roads to find the quickest way there. "And it's some kind of spirit?"

Nice to have a navigator, at least. De had a pretty intrincis sense of direction, but nothing could screw with your sense of direction quite as well and the american road way. Especially in big cities, and it would take them a minute to get out of this one. De didn't mind leaving it behind.

"A woman in white. Who's not exactly going to show her face to a single young lady."

She sniggered at herself as she said that last part. Lady.

Sam didn't. She was his sister and she was a lady. Nothing was going to tell him otherwise in that respect, no matter what she did. "Which is why you need me."
